Hi my name is Matteo Mary I am a 23 year old Computer Science student from Waterford. 

I love Athletics especially track and road running my favourite distance to run is the mile and 5Km. My personal best in the mile is 4:06 and my 5Km best is 14:40. My biggests aspirations as of now is sub 4 in the mile and sub 14 in the 5K







I took a page out of George Lipceanu's book and made a Topster list of certain movies, games, tv shows and music i like!






Previous Blogs

From the previous blogs i really enjoyed Dominiks blog. Due to my intrest in Athlete aiding technology the HRV monitor really intersted me. The steampunk mask was the cherry on top. The way all the mechanics were working together was very impressive and compelling to see in real time the persons heartbeat and breathing being simulated through the apperatus. Seeing all the steps it took to improve this project was cool. The steps all included was very logical and thorough a very nice and easy read.


Binbot Idea

For the Binbot i have a couple ideas but the one that has stayed with me the most is a reminder system based on how long it has been since you have emptied the bin. You may rarely use the bin but since you don't clear it out often enough it can lead to foul smells and the attraction of insects and pests



State Diagram 

From having a slight understanding as to what a Finite state machine is and what a State Machine Diagram is i understand the hype around these. It is a very easy way to get your thoughts across into plain text and also being able to transfer that straight into code. I have been converted.

Its very intresting to understand what projects have come from State Machine Diagrams. It is used a lot in Video Games to determine the user input systems, NPC behaviour and how the enemy AI acts.
